Town Chief Executive, Derek Bowden and Chairman, David Sheepshanks today unveil the clubs season ticket policy for the 2006/2007 season. Of big news to Town fans, will be their promise that the club won't need to seel any of its current squad in the summer, should be get a similar return on this campaign as the last one received, with 18,000 season ticket holders making Town the most supported club that were in the division last season.
There is a 2.5% increase in prices on last year, which is in line with the RPI (retail price indexing). But if fans renew their ticket before the early bird date of April 13th, then they will get prices at 18% less. For instance, an adult ticket in the family enclosure of the Britannia Stand would cost £354 if renewed before April 13th and £420 if renewed after.
A new scheme for this years campaign, that follows in the sucess of the U11 season ticket, is one for those U7, which will be charged at £1 a game. Effectively putting the "kid for a quid" into a season ticket format.
Last season 60% of applicants opted to put their apllication in under the Clubs "3 cheque system", wherby the ticket is paid off in 3 payments across the season. The club will be operating the same system for all applications this season.
The club has also increased the cost of its Silver Membership again this year, by £5. They are justifying this by saying that the increase reflects the value of being able to get access to tickets above the genral public. Gold Membership remains at the same price.
Application forms will now be sent out by post to all club members, season ticket holders and anyone who has bought 3 tickets or more off the club this season.
