Ambrose Returns to Charlton

The former England Under 21 international was involved in nine games for Town after joining on loan in November and failed to provide the level of performance required to hold down a place in the Town side.

Confirming the news to ITFC.co.uk, Town boss Jim Magilton said: "Darren's a good player but we have not seen the best of him.

"It's not worked out as he and we would have hoped for and with the loan over, he's now going back to Charlton."
