With the transfer window opening in just over a week, a number of clubs are said to be interested in securing the services of Bent. However with Bent keen to stay and Town not wanting to sell, it's likely that unless a huge offer came in, Bent will still be at Portman Road come close of the transfer window.
Speaking of his desire to stay Bent admitted: "I'm happy here and it would be silly to leave, especially with there being a chance of me going to the Premiership anyway. I don't think there's anywhere else I need to play."
Of Town's win, Bent added: "All the players stick together, in the changing room and in training there's a close atmosphere. It seems to be working and, as long as it continues, that's the main thing.
"There are the older ones and the younger ones, there are little competitions, but we all gel together."
