The player, at this point un-named but thought to be yet another forward, turned down the chance to Joe Royle's promotion push, although the blues boss feels it may not be the end of the matter.

Speaking to the East Anglian Daily Times, Royle said: "I have not given up hope. These things do take time and nothing has been ruled out completely. I will speak to him and see what happens from there. I am also still speaking to other people so there is still a chance something can happen before the deadline."
