Confirming the news to the Official Club Website, Town boss Joe Royle said: "He scored for Burnley at the weekend and by all accounts did well against West Ham last night, so we are happy for Dean to stay there.
"It was all about the lad getting regular first -team football when he went there and that's what he is getting.
"He is there until May but we have an agreement that he can be recalled should we need him back quickly."
