The 18 year old has impressed Ipswich manager Joe Royle enough to warrant the deal based on his performances in the reserves this season.
Chris told the Club website: "Things have been going well for me this season and obviously I'm delighted to be offered a two year contract here."
The Northern Ireland U19 international was part of Towns FA youth cup winning team last season and joined the first teams pre-season preparations.
Chris explained: "Being on the pre-season tour gave me a great lift, being away with the first team and speaking to the experienced players like Jim Magilton and Jason De Vos.
"Its a great Club to be at and the manager has proved that he will give young players a chance and Ive got to keep working hard now and hope I can break into the first-team squad myself."
Casement joins a list of youngsters including Matt Richards, Scott Barron, Lewis Price, Shane Supple and Danny Haynes who have signed proffessional contracts this season.
