Clegg: Jim Announcement at Right Time
Clegg was today appointed Chief Executive of Town and replaces Derek Bowden who will leave the club at the end of the season following seven years at Portman Road.
Town boss Jim Magilton has failed to improve his Town side from last seasons side which finished 8th with 69 points, and the Blues at best this season can achieve 66 points in 9th, despite the injection of £12M by club owner Marcus Evans.
Speaking this afternoon to Sky Sports News Clegg said: "There has been a lot of speculation in the local media in relation to what Jim has and has not achieved this season.
"I'm not going to fuel any speculation. The owner and I have had extensive discussions on the immediate priorities of the Football Club and will make the appropriate announcements when the right moment arises."
The comments from Clegg will do little to assure Magilton of his future at Portman Road, with the issue of the future of the manager's hot seat continuing to divide the opinion of Town's fans.
