Darren clocked up his 50th league match for the club on Tuesday in the defeat at Sunderland, but appears to have suffered a reoccurance of a knee problem which forced him out of the Carling Cup defeat against Notts County after complaining of a sore knee this morning in training.

Meanwhile former Wimbledon keeper Kelvin Davis has today been sent home from training after picking up a throat infection and is said to be on antibiotics to try and help aid his recovery which if not made in time, would result in Lewis Price being handed his first team debut for the visit of Ronnie Moore's side.

Speaking to the official club website, Town boss Joe Royle confirmed: "Kelvin is not feeling great at all and we will have to see how he is for Saturday. Darren was okay Wednesday after the Sunderland match but has turned up to training this morning saying his knee is sore so, like Kelvin, it will be a case of wait and see."
