"Our defending was poor. Their strikers gave us problems all night and we have got to defend better than that over the rest of the season," he told the club's official website.
"We spoke about giving away free-kicks on the edge of the box, although in fairness it was a good strike by the lad and the second goal was a bad one to give away as well.
"Bradford made it difficult for us and we know that life in the First Division is not easy but you can't afford to give away bad goals like we did and expect to win games.
"It's out first defeat of the season but we have the players to bounce back and we need to start that on Thursday against Avenir Beggen.
