The Dutch right back previously indicated that he would be signing a new deal, however has now revealed that he would like to talk to manager Joe Royle before he decides where his future may lie.
Talking to the EADT, Wilnis confirmed: "I have not agreed any deal, much less signed anything, and will not do so until I have sat down with the manager and had a chat. There are one or two things I need to talk over with him first."
If Royle was to lose Wilnis, he could be in a position where he is left with just one senior full back at the club in Matt Richards after Chris Makin turned down the clubs inital contract offer, but negotiations are said to be still ongoing between club and agent.
