A true footballing legend who will be greatly missed...I know a lot of people who will immediately think of the Geordie connections - but I know what a fantastic servant he was for you guys too....you were lucky to have a legend like this associated with your club. RIP Sir Bobby

Very sad day, RIP Bobby, you were a real gent, a legend is a word that is often bandied about but in your case even "legend" doesn't do you justice.
JJBlade - Via Message BoardMay Sir Bobby rest in peace, a true footballing gent. Even as a Norwich fan I had so much time for the fella. The world is a lesser place today

Very sad news. A great man and manager. If some current managers showed a fraction of his compassion football would be a better place. A black day for football R.I.P

Sir Bobby Robson was an absolutely amazing man and we have lost I believe a man who was one step above legend status. Very very sad news this is of the passing of a very brave and courageous man who gave so much. RIP

A sad day for Football the world over, i say the world because he was loved throughout the world! I have just been looking at his management record. Managed 1446 games and only lost 377 of them. How many other managers can boast anything like that?, and with a win percentage of nearly 50%.
The man had the guts to take our legend from the depths of the old 3rd Division and thrust him on the World Stage......for that alone he will never be forgotten by any Wolves fan!. A sad day but an amazing legacy left behind.
RIP Sir Bobby Thanks for the memories

When Bobby Robson was our manager he signed 14 players in 13 years, relied totally on youth and won the FA Cup and Uefa Cup - a huge loss to football.
