Sean Houston opened the scoring for the home side in the first half heading home from six yards from a cross from Ian Rossiter's free kick, of which David Wright could not clear.
It was ten minutes into the second half before Town got on terms, when a long ball from Town's back line put Liam Trotter through on goal, only for Trotter to be brought down in the area by home keeper Ciaran Gallagher. Connor Wickham stepped up to take the penalty and fired it down the middle to level the scores.
Harps secured the win with their second strike of the game when Fintan Bonnar put Marc Brolly through on goal, and despite drifiting out wide, Brolly hit a shot goalwards which deflected off Town substitite Veliche Shumulikoski and past Shane Supple into the Town goal.
Town's next friendly takes place on 15th July away from home against Brentford. Before then Roy Keane's men will head off to Portugal for a four day training camp.
