Speaking to Archant, the now Exeter City player and coach said: "I think their position in the table has surprised everyone.
"I don't care who the manager is; everyone is judged on results and if they don't start getting some then I am sure he (Keane) will be under pressure.
"He's got a track record though - obviously he got Sunderland promoted from that league - and I am sure they will turn it around.
"I played with one or two of their new players at Sunderland and they will bring a lot of quality to the team. I remember Grant Leadbitter especially being a very good player.
"Sometimes it just takes a bit of time for a new side to come together and, as I said, I'm sure Ipswich will come good."
