Speaking after the game to the Official Club Website the former Reading frontman said: "They looked a good side. You could tell they were a week or two on then us with their fitness and they kept the ball well and looked what they are, a quality side.
"It was difficult for Sam and myself to have the chance to get our partnership going because we were up against top class players at the back. But that will come and we won't be playing against players and a team of that standard every week in the Championship.
"I had one chance in the second-half but my boot ended up in the goal and the ball went wide which wasn't quite the desired effect. It was a good workout for us though and we'll be better for the game."
