Speaking to the Official Club Website, Yallop said: "Jaime's a good player. I have used him a lot playing for Canada and I see tons of potential there.
"I helped a bit in getting him to Ipswich. I thought it was the perfect club for him, although I'm obviously biased in that opinion having spent so many happy years at Portman Road myself.
"The chance to play, the chance to learn the game correctly like all the youngsters do at Ipswich makes the Club a good choice and I think he will develop into a good player.
"He has a lot to learn but you can see the potential is there and in six to eight months, I think Ipswich will have a really top player on their hands."
