Speaking to the Hammers Official Website, Gale said: "If Ipswich are going to be at all vulnerable it's going to be early in Saturday's game.
"For me they're the best footballing team in the division and they were unlucky not to go up automatically.
"But they've come a cropper at the end and it'll be a huge blow to them to now be contesting the Play-offs, having led the League for so long earlier in the campaign.
"They are up there to be shot at and West Ham will have to come out firing from the first whistle on Saturday and make the most of what is sure to be a great feeling inside the stadium.
"If they can get an early goal it will knock Ipswich and what happens in the early part of the first leg could set the tone for the rest of the tie."
