The former Manchester City and West Ham midfielder will serve an automatic one match ban after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season this afternoon in the 4-2 win against Queens Park Rangers.
Speaking to the Official Club Website Town boss Joe Royle admitted: "That was another reason to bring Darren Currie in because we knew we were light in midfield and with Kevin out. it would have meant playing 433 instead of having the option of sticking with four across the middle of the park."
