McCarthy waits on quintet
Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy is hoping as many as five players will be fit for the visit of Crystal Palace.
Loanee Jay Tabb was forced off at half-time in Saturday's 2-1 home defeat to Hull struggling with a knee injury, before Michael Chopra was withdrawn towards the closing stages with a minor calf complaint.
Winger Lee Martin has recovered from the illness which forced him to miss out altogether but has since turned his ankle in training.
On-loan striker Aaron Mclean was ineligible to face his parent club at the weekend yet he has also damaged his toe in training, while Patrick Kisnorbo has gone down with virus.
Each of the quintet will be assessed ahead of the encounter against fourth-placed Palace although McCarthy is confident they could all be okay to feature.
Ian Holloway could welcome back Owen Garvan when Crystal Palace make the trip.
The midfielder returned to training following a knee injury last week and could feature against his former club.
Skipper Mile Jedinak is suspended though as he begins a two-match suspension after receiving his 10th booking of the season in their goalless draw with Barnsley.
Paddy McCarthy may return following a groin injury along with Darcy Blake (knee) having benefited from an extended period of rest.
The Eagles haven't featured in the league since April 6 but Alex Nimely (hamstring) is not expected to travel.
Veteran striker Kevin Phillips could be recalled to boost an attack that hasn't found the net since the beginning of March.
Palace are without a win in their last five league matches, losing three of them, but do remain three points clear of the chasing pack in the play-off places.
