Watford will be without defender Lee Hodson for the trip to Portman Road.
Hodson was stretchered off with an ankle injury during the win against Sheffield United, but X-rays have revealed he did not suffer a fracture.
MATCH PREVIEW
Having held Leeds United, the Championship's top scorers, to a 0-0 draw at Elland Road on Saturday, Ipswich now face the division's second highest scorers.
Saturday's result was a welcome boost for Town, who have endured their first wobble under manager Paul Jewell and are looking to avoid a third consecutive home defeat.
Watford also recently hit a bad patch but have won two of their last three matches, and lost only one of their last seven. They were excellent in beating Sheffield United 3-0 at the weekend, when Hornets striker Danny Graham scored for the fourth game in a row.
And Watford have been a bogey side for Ipswich. They are unbeaten in 12 matches against the Suffolk club, who have not beaten them since March 2004.
