Wright was signed by Ipswich from Crewe during George Burley's tenure at Portman Road and was this Summer offered a new two year contract by the club.
However Jermaine turned that offer down and did not report to pre-season training on Monday, and his contract with Town officialy expired at midnight on Thursday.
His agent, the infamous Jonathan Barnett, previously indicated that there were a number of Premiership clubs after his client, but now Jamma will face Town next season in the White of Leeds after signing a three year contract with the cash strapped Yorkshire side.
