But he told BBC Radio Suffolk: "I've made lots of enquiries, I'm at pains to try and improve the squad.
"But I want to sit down and look at the players to see where we can improve and if we can improve the ones we've got here. So it's hectic at the moment."

from his loan spell at Charlton and extended the loan stay of Celtic defender
Darren O'Dea
as he attempts to pull Town away from the Championship drop zone.
And with Ipswich 20th in the table and with just one win in their last 10 league games, the new manager is confident his side can rekindle their early season form which saw them in the play-off mix in early October.
"I'm very confident, these players got some great results at the start of the season, so it's just a matter of confidence really," he said.
"You can't fault the players' efforts but we're just a little bit frantic at times in possession, we've got to try and calm down, but that comes with results.
"We've got to earn the right to win matches and once we start doing that the confidence will come."
