With Tommy Miller, Drissa Diallo, John McGreal, Chris Makin, Martijn Reuser and Darren Bent all ruled out of tonights game agaisnt Notts County, and the first five likely to be out for a few weeks yet, Town Boss Joe Royle has planned ahead incase he needs to bring any faces in on loan as cover.
Speaking to the Official Club Website, the former Everton boss said: "We have a few injury worries at the moment and have drawn up some contingency plans. I have been speaking with our chief scout, Colin Suggett, and together we have come up with a list of possible targets.
"We have two players here on loan, Alan Mahon and Chris Bart-Williams, and the rules allow us to have four on loan at the same time.
