Speaking to the Official Club Website, Keane said: "Our fans have been magnificent this year, I've said that many times but I didn't like the booing that Jack got a couple of times,
"Supporters are entitled to their opinions and it was only a small minority but Jack has been brilliant for us this season, he's been head and shoulders our best player.
"He's only a young lad learning his trade and he made one or two mistakes in his delivery from a corner and free-kick, but I don't expect fans to get on the back of him.
"He'll handle it because he's a strong character but the young players need the fans behind them. Boo the manager all you like, fair enough. But get behind the players, especially the youngsters."
