Speaking of this mornings rumours a Town spokesperson confirmed: "Roy was given the owner's full backing last month and nothing at all has changed since then.

"Reports in the press this morning that Roy will be sacked are complete rubbish. There were no meetings over the weekend and Roy remains in charge."

Town have so far this season won just one of their seventeen games, and are languishing in 23rd in the table four points adrift of safety making it the club's worst start for 73 years.
