The deal officially starts on Friday with boss Jim Magilton hoping Knights will benefit from his time with Yeovil.
"Darryl going out on loan gives him the chance to play regular football and that is exactly what he needs at this stage," Magilton told the club's official website.
Knights, who made his Town debut aged 16, hasn't turned out for the Blues this season, despite the teams problems in front of goal.
