Sources in Sheffield have today told us that the club have agreed an undisclosed fee with the Owls management for Shefki Kuqi should the club want to sign him when his loan period expires in December. The Finnish International is initally on a 3 month loan period at the club.
With Kuqi only having played 45 minutes first team football for the blues, and the club not having any money to spend on tranfers, the rumours that Pablo Counago is set to be sold to Real Betis and be replaced by Kuqi during the January transfer window look set to be fuelled even further.
It's clear that before the club can buy, they are going to have to sell, and thats where the Counago link comes in. Last week we exclusively revealed that Real Betis were keen on a move for Pablo Counago, and predicted that this could result in Kuqi coming to the club on a full time basis as a replacement for the Spaniard
The fact that the club have already agreed a fee with Wednesday, should they wish to sign the Finn full time, should surely set the alarm bells ringing, and an exit for the popular Counago looks ever more realistic, as the moneys going to have to be generated from somewhere.
