In a game that was never really about the result, Ridgeons League side Leiston hosted a great commemerative match that saw them give a good account of themselves against an Ipswich side with notable players such as Parkin, Westlake and Skard in their ranks.
The game was settled by goals from Sam Parkin, returning from a broken ankle and the lively Kieron Leabon. Parkin also had a penalty saved in the second half, after Jordan Rhodes had been taken down.
Parkin and Westlake each played just over an hour and Westlake looked very sharp.
