Speaking to the Ipswich Evening Star, the former Charlton Athletic and Colchester United striker said: "I can't understand the doom and gloom. There seems to be so much tension.
"But people should have a look at the league table - we're only six points off the play-off places.
"I remember after the first game of the season - when we lost to Preston at home - someone asked me whether I was feeling under pressure.
"That question almost made me smile. It was unbelievable and took me by surprise, but that's the kind of pressure we have to deal with."
