ITFM first broke the story this morning that the former Lincoln player will join Keane at Portman Road.
The former Sunderland head coach will team up with Roy Keane as a manager for a second time at Portman Road. Prior to jining Sunderland Croydon born Loughlan worked as coach Leicester City's Academy.
Keane considers Croydon born Loughlan as one of his cloest friends in football, with the two having played together during their playing days at Nottingham Forest.
Keane was appointed this morning as the new manager of Town following yesterday's sacking of Jim Magilton. The Cork born former Manchester United skipper has signed a two year deal with the club.
