Speaking to the Ipswich Evening Star, Magilton confessed that he wouldn't blame the Town fans if they got fed up with the endless bad run, and stopped turning up to matches: "Our supporters have every right not to come back and watch us after the way it's been going. You couldn't blame them.
"They are the greatest supporters I've ever known. Just to look at their faces – men, women and children – at West Bromwich Albion on Saturday said everything."
"Between those dressing room walls tomorrow night we've all got to say: 'We'll only get beaten over our dead bodies'. That's how serious it has become. Character has got to be shown like it's never been shown before and I'll be right in there."
Since I've been here I've been involved in big promotion and relegation weeks, but I think this week is as important as any and I just hope that everyone can stick together."
Magilton also revealed in the honest interview, that he was refusing to look at the league table because of the blues now being the strongest team in the league, unfortunatley this is only because they are propping everybody else up in bottom place!
"Over the weekend I've been in a terrible mood. I hardly wanted to speak to anyone. I've refused to read any newspapers, I've refused to even look at a league table until we're off the bottom. That's how bad I feel. My professional pride is hurt." Continued Magilton.
"Tomorrow night against Walsall we've got to play for that blue Ipswich Town shirt more than ever before. At Albion our great supporters stuck with us right to the end. Hopefully we can repay them tomorrow.
"At a time like this everyone needs to unite and fight hard together. I can't tell supporters how bad I feel about where we are. A good week can see that situation change and who knows what might happen from there."
