Speaking to the Official Club Website, former Northern Ireland international Magilton said: "Darren is down a bit but he just needs something to go for him to pick him up again. The ball going into the net from a deflection, anything, just that spark to get him going.
"Football is all about confidence, perhaps even more so for strikers. Jon Stead hadn't scored all season for Blackburn until yesterday, then he gets the winner at Everton and he looked a yard or two quicker after his goal.
"What we need from Darren is for him to become a real threat for us again because that is what he is a - a real threat.
"Managers come to Portman Road fearing that Darren Bent will be in our line-up because of his pace.
"We all know he's a terrific player but Darren has to believe it himself, even when things are not going right.
"We're all backing him and trying to boost him up and I'm sure it will come good for him again because he's a quality footballer."
