Speaking to the Official Club Website, the former Northern Ireland international said: "He got on the ball and showed real quality against Sunderland.
"He's not had the best of times this season and hasn't helped himself on occasions either but we all know what he can do and he made a real difference when he came on.
"I'm delighted for him as well. He can be a real handful for defenders and I think Pablo could still play his part and be an important player for us over the rest of the season."
