The former Northern Ireland International picked up a shin and calf injury in the first half of the game against Burnley midweek, and is facing a race against time to be fit.
Speaking to the Official Club Website, Town manager Joe Royle confirmed: "Jim has got a sore shin and there is swelling on his calf from a two-footed tackle by the Burnley player and he is a doubt for Saturday. We will give him as much time as he needs because he's a big influence on the side and hopefully he will be okay but we will see how things go."
Other Injury worries for Saturdays game which is live on SKY TV are Jermaine Wright and defender Georges Santos, of which Royle commented: I didn't think Georges would make it against Burnley but he improved rapidly over Monday night and did well in midweek. Jamma has picked up a groin injury as well now but of the three, Jim is definitely the biggest concern."
