"He is someone that has always impressed me when I have seen him play. He likes the ball to his feet, his comfortable on either side and the big thing I like about him is that he has a lot of self-belief.
"It may have surprised people when it was banded about that he was coming here and I think Darren was more surprised than anyone but he has always held that confidence that he could operate at a much higher level than he has done and now he has the chance to prove it and I'm sure he will."
