Speaking to the Official Club Website, the former Northern Ireland international said: "The young players will have gained a lot from being away on the trip. It gets them used to what life is like as a professional footballer on the whole. It will help them bed in with the rest of the squad.
"Making that step up to the first-team is always an important stage in any young player's career but the boys have handled the situation well while we have been away.
"They have trained very hard and they will be all the better for the experience of the stay in Hungary.
"The boys have all shown a great temperament, are all looking forward to the new season and can have a big part to play in the future of this football club."
