Speaking to the Official Club Website, the former Northern Irish international admitted: "The gaffer thought it would be a good idea to get the players away together as a group and it worked out well,
"We trained hard while we were out there but just as importantly, it gave us time to relax and sit as a group and talk about the remaining two months or so of the season."
Magilton also stressed that the trip could be a factor which helps the Tractor Boys improve their recent run of poor form: "It's clear that our form has taken a dip lately."
"The defeat at Burnley was very disappointing and being away together as a group gave us the opportunity for everyone to have a say on what's going right and what's going wrong.
"Football is just as much a mental game as a physical one, even more so - certainly when things are not going according to plan."
