Magilton appeared to swear at a section of the stand after they constantly were booing and jeering the former Northern Ireland star. Speaking of his actions to the East Anglian Daily Times, Magilton said: "I was concentrating so hard on getting the win on Saturday and was so wrapped up in what I was doing I didn't really think about what I shouted.
"It was really in the heat of the moment and not directed at any one person or any particular group. I apologise sincerely for any offence I caused or upset to our fans. We got a brilliant victory and I honestly never thought any more of the incident or realised I had upset people but as soon as I heard I wanted to apologise.
"I have said all along how brilliant they have been to us through all these troubled times. They are an extraordinary set of supporters and I know I'm not the only player who appreciates the way they have backed us. Thankfully we got the win and I hope that one isolated moment did not spoil it for supporters."
Maybe questions should be asked though, about what these so called supporters are doing booing their players, after all, it's hardly supporting their team.
