It is not a secret that new Oxford manager Scott Patterson has offered Jim a player-coach role at the club that he spent 3 years at earlier in his playing career.
Magilton broke his silence on the matter on Thursday night and told the EADT: “Nothing has been agreed or even discussed in any great detail. I have not made my mind up about anything and even if something were to happen, nothing will before our game at Crystal Palace.”
Oxford fans would welcome Jim with open arms in the current frustration of boardroom unrest.
Magilton is in the squad to face Crystal Palace at the weekend but and may even start in the absence of Jimmy Juan and Ian Westlake.
If Magilton does decide to move away from Portman Road before the end of the season, he will have to do so before the emergency transfer window closes on Thursday 23rd March.
