The former Sunderland players who joined the club for £1.1M during George Burley's reign as manager is expected to be fit and ready to be back in consideration for the upcoming games against Burnley and Stoke but will not be fit for this Saturday's trip to Bradford.
Speaking to the Offical Club Website, Town boss Joe Royle confirmed the news: "Chris has seen a specialist and has been making a steady improvement lately and will take part in full training this week."
