According to reports this morning, a number of sides are set to make bids for the Ipswich Town striker, and thry include Peter Reid's Spurs, and Chris Coleman's Fulham, Leciester City and Spurs have also been linked in the past.
Also linked with moves from Portman Road are Matt Richards, and Darren Bent, attracting interest from Newcastle and Southampton respectively. Chris Makin has attracted interest from Premiership Managers too.
The Transfer window for Premiership Clubs to bring players in closes at midnight on Sunday, and the blues are expecting a number of bids for Marcus Bent before the closure of the window.
It's likely that the former Blackburn, Sheffield United and Crystal Palace player will be avaliable at a knockdown price due to the poor negotiating skills of chairman David Sheepshanks, who earlier sold the clubs season by selling club captain and Republic of Ireland captain Matt Holland for an insultingly low £750,000.
It could be argued the club's poor negotiations over the selling of it's players so far this season, is why they STILL require extra player sales to raise money to help them cope with the financial distress they are still in.
Speaking of the chance of the move, under-fire and long ball specialist, Manager Joe Royle said : "There has been some interest shown in Marcus over the past couple of days and we need movement on player wages if we are to bring new people in."
Shame you don't move on, Joe.
What do you think about the prospective sale of Marcus for a knockdown price?
