Town boss Jim Magilton: "For the first 45 minutes we were more than a match for anybody.
"We showed guts and character which we had to do after Saturday. We didn't want the half to end but at half-time we reassured them and told them that the next goal was the most important one.
"The first goal we gave away was shocking, the second was even worse and the third was a joke.
"I'm very disappointed and the lads are disappointed. We've got a big game Saturday (at Southend) but we've proved we're as good as anyone in this division.
"I know this will be a topsy-turvy season but my belief is not ebbing away."
