The Frenchman is out of contract from midnight on Thursday, and with Town having lost the services of John McGreal to Burnley despite bringing in Canadian international Jason De Vos, a move for the Ram's Player of the Year for 2003/4 could be attractive to Joe Royle's side
Speaking to the EADT, the agent said: "Ipswich have been in touch about Youl, asking for details, but we have not heard anything further.
"I understand there are a few things going on at Ipswich and something may develop later but we have not had anything more concrete.
"If we were to hear further then that would be of interest to us. Ipswich are a club Youl would definitely consider. It is a well-run club with good management and good players. But at the moment only time will tell."
However, despite the agents comments seeming to suggest there was interest from Town, manager Joe Royle has played this down: "He is not someone we are interested in signing."
