The Tractor Boys welcome Arsene Wenger's side to Portman Road in the semi-final first leg and although the odds are stacked against the Blues, the defender knows their home fans can give them a huge boost.
"If we can get any result against Arsenal it will give everyone a lift," he told the club's official website.
"We know it's going to be very difficult but we've got to go out there and put on a performance. It will be the first time I have played in front of 30,000 at Portman Road.
"I'm sure the fans will get right behind us and that will be a big help because we are going to need them. It should be a fantastic occasion and hopefully we can put a smile back on the faces of the supporters."
