Millwall will be without striker Josh McQuoid, who has suffered an ankle injury in training and will be sidelined for around three weeks.Tamika Mkandawire and centre-back Paul Robinson are also out and Liam Trotter (back) is a doubt, but Alan Dunne is available after serving a ban.
Ipswich could be missing Jason Scotland for Paul Jewell's first game in charge.
Scotland has been nursing a calf strain, while Troy Brown is still out with a hamstring injury.
MATCH PREVIEW
Paul Jewell takes charge of his first match as Ipswich manager and inherits a side that has endured mixed cup fortunes this week - beating Arsenal and losing 7-0 to Chelsea - and a miserable time in the league.
Jewell has been out of the game since his last match as Derby boss, in December 2008. That, ironically, was a defeat against Ipswich. His immediate task is to restore confidence to a team that has lost seven of their last nine Championship matches.
Confidence will not be a problem for Millwall, who are enjoying a good run and have already beaten Ipswich twice this season - in the league and the Carling Cup. The Lions are unbeaten in eight league outings and have climbed to only three places and three points outside the play-off spots.
Millwall's home form has been excellent, as has their defending. They have won three in a row at The Den, and have now gone almost five hours of league football without conceding a goal.
