The former Bohemians stopper sustained an ankle injury in his pre-match warm up prior to the game against Leicester City at the Walkers Stadium this afternoon, and should the damage be as bad as first feared by manager Roy Keane the Irish stopper could be ruled out for several weeks.

Town are already without first choice goalkeeper Richard Wright, who is quite a while away from a return to action having tore his cruciate ligaments in his knee in late November, an injury which is expected to rule the former England international out for around four months in total.

In addition earlier in the season Ireland youth international Shane Supple decided a career in football was not for him, whilst Asmir Begovic was recalled from his loan at Portman Road by parent club Portsmouth due to an injury to regular first choice keeper David James.

The only other registered keeper on Town's books apart from Arran Lee-Barrett is teenager Ian Mcloughlin, who joined the club in the summer of 2009 after impressing on the club's pre-season tour of the Republic of Ireland and to date has yet to represent Town at senior level.
