With a full re-run of the Australian Grand Prix planned in the early afternoon, Anglia bosses are unable to schedule highlights soon after kick-off, and Sky TV are refusing to let them show the game whilst their own coverage covers the Sunderland vs Sheffield United FA Cup tie.
Fans will just have to cope with brief highlights on an Anglia News bulletin at 5:30, Anglia do however still have their weekly football magazine on the Sunday, however this is at 12pm when the match kicks off so it will focus on lower division East Anglian clubs.
Speaking of the news, Budgie Kevin Piper, head of sport at Anglia TV said:"Anglia would very much like to screen highlights of Sunday's local derby. However, we are prevented from doing so because of contractual reasons. Despite our efforts to create a slot for a programme, we have been unable to secure the necessary dispensation to show highlights.
"We were able to screen highlights of the Ipswich v Norwich fixture before Christmas because we obtained clearance from Sky TV, who have the primary rights to Football League coverage. Unfortunately, we have not managed to secure the necessary dispensation for Sunday's game."
