Norwich, who's finances are better than Town's, but still hardly a sum to shout about, look like they are prepared to take a gamble by bringing the Manchester City attacking midfielder to Carrow Road, which if doesn't end in promotion for the Canaries, could spell serious financial implications for the clubs future.

This Morning, West Bromwich Albion, along with the second best team in East Anglia, are understood to have agreed a £750,000 deal with Manchester City Officials for the services of Huckerby, with a further payment of £250,000 due should either club make it to the Premiership.

27 Year old Huckerby impressed many Norwich Fans during his three month loan spell at the Norfolk club, and club officials were always keen on negotiating signing him on a permenant deal, however it was understood at first that the price Kevin Keegan demanded was out of their range.

However in an incredible turn round of events, Norwich this morning announced they agreed a fee for Huckerby, and he is set to talk over personal terms with both Norwich and West Brom this week, should Huckerby sign for Norwich, it looks likely that he will start in Sunday's East Anglian Derby at Portman Road.
