The Spanish defender who decided to join Town after getting advice from former blue Pablo Counago is not yet registered as a Town player, and the club are fighting against the clock for the paperwork to be completed in time.
Confirming the news to the Official Club Website, Town boss Joe Royle said: "The original idea was for Sito to have an intensive weekend training but there is now a chance he could be involved against Cardiff.
"His signing has not been completed yet and there is paperwork to be done so it's a race against time to see if we can get it all sorted out in time."
Should Sito be registered in time, he will line-up with the number 15 shirt for Town.
