Santos was sent off at The New Den for two bookable offences, the first of which was fully deserved, although the second one looked to be very harsh in a decision that seemed to be influenced by the crowd.

Speaking of the news, Joe Royle was happy that Mr Williamson had agreed to reconsider his decision: "I asked the referee to have another look at the booking and he has agreed.
