Danny Shittu and Darryl Murphy have been linked with possible loan moves this week, but the former Sunderland boss says whilst he wants to strengthen a couple of areas, it will not happen in the next 24 hours.
"I won't comment on players who aren't at this club, and there won't be anyone coming in before tomorrow." he said in a press conference held at Portman Road this morning.
"But I'm still very hopeful of bringing in two more loan players. We'll be making a few more calls over the next few days. I'd like one or two more players and we are short in one or two areas."
It's likely that defence and attack are the areas that Keane feels the squad is short on, with the club leaking too many goals at the back and not firing enough in the back of the net at the other end.
